He has studied Philology at the University of Patras and Modern Greek at the University of Paris (INALCO – Paris III). In July 2008 he obtained his Ph.D. in Modern Greek studies from King’s College London. The title of his thesis is: “The writing of intimacy: a reading of the private diaries of Ion Dragoumis, George Seferis and George Theotokas from the perspective of genre theory”. He has taught courses on Modern Greek literature at the Department of Philology of the University of Patras and at the Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies of the University of Cyprus. He has delivered papers in conferences and he has published articles in journals on the autobiographical discourse, on the work of George Seferis, on the periodicals of the 19th century, on the poetry of post-symbolism and on the modernist prose fiction. Since 2012 he is participating in the research project «Chrysallis. Cultural transfer and the formation of ‘national identity’ in the periodicals of the 19th century». In 2014 he coedited with Katerina Kostiou the new edition of the anthology The Greek short story (1920) by Konst. F. Skokos.
