He graduated from the department of Philology of the University of Athens in 2006, with a specialization in Linguistics. He then obtained his Master’s degree from the same department in 2009, with a specialization in Modern Greek Literature. In 2015 he defended his PhD thesis in the department of Medieval and Modern Greek Studies of the University of Thessaloniki, the subject of the dissertation being: "The Itinerary of Constantine Manassis. Critical edition, translation and commentary." He has published several scientific articles on byzantine literature and has taken part in international conferences, presenting papers on aspects of byzantine and modern Greek literature. He has also participated in scientific meetings, collective volumes (forthcoming), as well as workshops. In 2012 he published his first short story collection entitled A gig in the sky (Μια συναυλία στον ουρανό). His interests include the critical edition and analysis of byzantine secular poetry, the reception of Byzantium in modern Greece and the ethographia of the 19th century.
