Katerina Karakassi
She holds the position of Assistant Professor of German and Comparative Literature at the Department of German Literature of the University of Athens (Greece). She completed her PhD with a scholarship of the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). Between 2000 and 2005 she worked at the Department of General and Comparative Literature of the University of Essen-Duisburg (Germany) as a researcher. Since 2005 she has been teaching at the University of Athens and since 2006 she is teaching “History of European Literature” as a scientific collaborator at the Open University of Greece. She was Humboldt Research Fellow at the University of Konstanz (Germany) by Prof. Dr. Koschorke from 2009 to 2012.

Konstantinos Chryssogelos
He graduated from the department of Philology of the University of Athens in 2006, with a specialization in Linguistics. He then obtained his Master’s degree from the same department in 2009, with a specialization in Modern Greek Literature. In 2015 he defended his PhD thesis in the department of Medieval and Modern Greek Studies of the University of Thessaloniki, the subject of the dissertation being: "The Itinerary of Constantine Manassis. Critical edition, translation and commentary." He has published several scientific articles on byzantine literature and has taken part in international conferences, presenting papers on aspects of byzantine and modern Greek literature. He has also participated in scientific meetings, collective volumes (forthcoming), as well as workshops. In 2012 he published his first short story collection entitled A gig in the sky (Μια συναυλία στον ουρανό). His interests include the critical edition and analysis of byzantine secular poetry, the reception of Byzantium in modern Greece and the ethographia of the 19th century.

Kyriaki Athanasiadou
She is a PhD candidate in Classics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She is a graduate of a Master Program in Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature at the Department of Medieval and Modern Greek Studies at School of Philology. Her research interests include translation studies, reception theory and feminist theory. Her thesis examines the presence of gendered speech in the translations of Greek tragedy. She works at the research project "Chrysallis – Cultural transfer and ‘national character’ in nineteenth century Greek periodicals" as well as at the Centre for the Greek Language.
Maria Sehopoulou
She graduated from the Department of Theatre Studies of the University of Athens, where she then completed the two-year postgraduate programme. She then did a PhD thesis, entitled “The Reception of August Strindberg in Greece. Translations – Performances” for which she was awarded “Distinction”. She received the Sasakawa scholarship for her doctoral thesis and a fund from the State Scholarships Foundation of Greece for her overall grades during her M.Phil.
She participated in the 15th International Congress of IFTR/FIRT in Helsinki; in the 5th European Congress of Modern Greek Studies organized by the European Society of Modern Greek Studies; in the symposium for the one hundred years from the death of August Strindberg, organized by the Swedish Institute at Athens and the Embassy of Greece in Sweden; in a Conference organized by the Institute for Mediterranean Studies; in the 5th Greek Theatre Conference, etc. She contributed to the Ad Honorem Eva Stehlíková (Festschrift for the emeritus professor of the University of Brno) and to the Epidaurus Encounters: Greek Drama, Ancient Theatre and Modern Performance.
She has worked for several years, at the University of Athens, in charge of the organization and secretarial support of the postgraduate programme of the Department of Theatre Studies; at the Benaki Museum, in the documentation of collections and archives of performing arts; in the organizing committee of the university programme of the intensive summer courses in Epidaurus; and as a member of the organizing committee of all activities of the European Network for the Research and Documentation of Performances of Ancient Drama. In the research programme “Thalis: Chrysallis” she participates as a research associate.
