She completed her undergraduate studies at the Department of Philology (Division of Music and Theatre Studies) of the University of Crete (1998-2002) and pursued her graduate studies in theatre at the University of Essex (Master, 2005). She completed her doctoral thesis at the University of Crete (Department of Philology (Division of Music and Theatre Studies, PhD, 2012). The title of her dissertation is The contribution of Nea Skini in the development of the modern Greek theatre. She was a postdoctoral researcher at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2012-2013). She participated in the research program “History of the Modern Greek Theatre” at the Institute for Mediterranean Studies (2005-2006). Since 2013 she participated as a Research Associate in the program: "THALIS-UOA-CHRYSSALIS, Cultural transfer and formation of the 'national character' in 19th century Greek periodicals".
